Below is a gallery of puppy pictures from our ONE-year-olds. We'd love to share your pictures and stories - send them to Kathy at kathy@vincemay.com to be displayed here.
Vince and I promised each other we wouldn't keep a puppy. But, after little Mr. Blue's buyer backed out, we just couldn't let him go. We named him Merlin because he magicked his way so deeply into our hearts.
Our Savannah Banana has been stealing our hearts since day one. She has been the cutest little thing, whose eyes make you melt. She started with a small white patch on her chest, but that disappeared as she got older.
From the time she got to the house she has been attached at the hip to her Boykin brother Charleston. The two will wrestle and fight until they get tired, then fall asleep on top of each other.
Savannah has had the Boykin sprawl down from the start, and regularly crawls through the yard on her belly.
Her favorite toy is the one her brother has at that moment. She will steal it in a heartbeat, and make Charleston chase her around. If he refuses, she resorts to pulling his hair out or karate chopping him to get him motivated.
She usually spends her days on the back of the couch, needing to be at the highest point so she can always see what everyone is doing.
Her newest hobby is watching and catching birds in the back yard. She has snatched 2 now. She is quite the athlete, and runs like the wind and jumps like she has springs in her feet.
She has been quite the addition. She's hasn't been the calm dog we expected from a female, but she's our princess none the less.
We absolutely are in love with her! She is perfect! I had her genetics tested and all came back clear too. She is so smart.
Happy birthday to Chance and all of his siblings!
Chance has been an absolute joy and is doing so well with his training. He is a "hunting machine" and has already flushed up rabbits and pheasants. He has retrieved ducks and quail.
He loves to go out on the boat and spends the entire day with his feet on the very edge watching every cast closely. He has fallen in once trying to retrieve the lure, but he is an awesome swimmer so we weren't worried. He didn't want to get back on the boat!
Chance is a very lucky boy as both of us are retired and our day pretty much revolves around him, beginning with a 4 mile walk every morning. Our only struggle has been with his allergies. He has to get an allergy shot every 5-6 weeks. Thank goodness those work! He is so loved that we have even entertained getting him a playmate!
Sansa LOVES to play with her older sisters, Millie & Rosie. Her and Rosie are both very agile and love to fetch and see who can get to the ball the fastest.
Sansa loves to go kayaking with us in our creek behind our farm. She loves anything to do with the outdoors. If we would let her, she would live outside! She experienced her first snow this winter and LOVED it.
She loves carrots, bananas, and peanut butter as treats! Those are her favorites but she’s always open to try new things! (Aka anything you will part with.)
Sansa is truly the best dog. We love her with our entire hearts!
This was Sansa posing for a picture on our first kayaking trip on our farm! Such a little doll.
